Wow! If this isn’t 70s, I’m not sure what is! This wonderful cool Vintage Fold Out Speaker Set with 8 Track Player and AM/FM Radio was no doubt popular back then. It looks so hip 70s… like a chunky box with speaker grilles being shaped like a blue jeans pocket with hot neon orange stitching.
When separated in half, it becomes a right and a left stereo speaker, with separate volume controls for each. If that weren’t cool enough already, there is a slot on the side to play 8 tracks in. Forward and reverse buttons are laid out on the stainless control panel. The buttons identifying words have long since been rubbed down to being slightly visible at an angle, but still readable.
A 2 foot antenna, which picks up both FM and AM stations loudly and clearly, sinks into the top of the unit. For some reason, the FM stations only sound on one speaker; AM, on both speakers. 8 Track functionality is untested, since I don’t have 8 tracks. Measures 7.5” x 9” x 5”. Battery and AC powered.
