Vintage sterling silver necklace featuring a faceted teardrop amethyst in a rich purple tone. The stone shows natural pleochroism and light color zoning, with subtle shifts from deeper violet to lighter lavender depending on the light, adding depth and visual interest. The amethyst is prong set in sterling silver and hangs from an 18 inch sterling silver chain with a spring ring clasp stamped 925. The pendant measures approximately 22 mm tall including the bail, with the stone measuring about 9.2 mm and an estimated weight of 2.5–3.0 carats. Total necklace weight is approximately 1.60 grams.
