The top cover has no cracks, a little bit of age and smudges.
The closing mechanism works great.
The fabric on the bottom is either thread bare or very dirty. I have no knowledge about how to restore a piece like this, so didn't touch it.
The inside pages are almost all torn.
The music box is working which is a testimony to Swiss precision and manufacturing.
