Revised “completely new” edition oversized hardcover copy of What is Karate? by Masutatsu Oyama (Japan Publications Trading Company, 1966). Very rare martial arts history and techniques book. Richly illustrated and with photographs. Price clipped jcket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and wear around the edges. Torn area to bottom edge of back cover. Faint soiling to boards from handling and with corners bumped. Binding is weakening and is split in several places though all pages currently remain attached, if tenuously. Small bit of liquid damage to top edge of dj near spine, mostly visible only on interior side. Tanning tapes. See photos for condition.
