Overview: Up for sale is an incredible 1950 oil painting on board depicting a forested lake and mountain scene. It is signed "S. E. Abbott" (possibly "S. C.") and dated '50 at lower right. Framed in a simple period wood frame. I haven't found any matching artists by this name, but the piece is stunning, and clearly painted by a talented artist. I have a few other paintings by this artist which I will be listing in the next week or so.
Condition: Painting is in good condition. There appears to be one area of paint loss at center. Frame is in very good condition.
Measurements: Painting measures approximately 12 inches wide x 9 inches high. Frame measures approximately 13.5 inches wide x 10.5 inches high.
