An authentic early 20th-century Hendryx bird cage with its original tabletop pedestal stand. Manufactured by Hendryx in New Haven, Connecticut. Stamped Hendryx nameplate with "Made in USA Reg U.S. Patent Off., New Haven, Conn"
The cage is constructed of brass and wire with a domed top and hanging loop finial, finely spaced vertical bars, and a lower mesh skirt.
Condition:
Good antique condition for its age. Displays age-appropriate wear, patina, and imperfections throughout, consistent with over 100 years of use. The base shows some bending and is slightly wobbly but still stands securely. There are tears in the lower protective mesh screen, as shown in the photos. No polishing or restoration has been performed. Please note: This cage does not include a swing or glass cups.
