Original 1868 atlas of Otsego County, New York featuring large 14 x 16 inch color maps. Fair condition; this copy comes from the holdings of an Otsego County library; no markings, but shows some repairs. Thick paper reinforces both front and rear hinges; small paper repair to large (16 x 25 inch) fold-out New York State map; corner repair to map 12 (Edmeston). Overall, the hand-colored maps are in good condition; some foxing and soil, edges worn and rough in places, but complete and intact. Covers show heavy wear, heaviest along edges and corners. Some spotting and soil. Spine leather missing. Wonderful detailed maps contain information about businesses and residences in each town, with owner names and property boundaries. Includes towns of Burlington, Butternuts, Cherry Valley, Decatur, Edmeston, Exeter, Hartwick, Laurens, Maryland, Middlefield, Milford, Morris, New Lisbon, Oneonta, Otego, Otsego, Pittsfield, Plainfield, Richfield, Roseboom, Springfield, Unadilla, Westford, Worcester.
