"MARINE×MARINE PHOTO SQUADRON"
Velvet Special Souvenir Jacket
"Kosho SPECIAL EDITION" is a special item that reproduces the souvenir jackets made by "Kosho Trading Company," the predecessor of Toyo Enterprises, in the early 1950s, using materials and accessories such as zippers that were exactly the same at the time.
This time, it is a new 2016 winter model of velvet x satin quilt, the "MARINE×MARINE PHOTO SQUADRON" model.
The U.S. Marine Corps' photo reconnaissance unit "VMJ-1" was based at Atsugi Air Base from 1954 to 1958 after the Korean War. This jacket reproduces a valuable jacket that was custom-ordered by the unit during that time.
The navy velvet side features an embroidered design of the world-famous photo of U.S. Marines raising the American flag (Iwo Jima). The reversible side features the "MARINE PHOTO SQUADRON" logo and squadron patch embroidery with the unit name.
