The stoppers have what appears to be tape wrapped around them where rubber was at one time. The rubber probably disintegrated over time. There is one tiny chip at the base of one of the stoppers (see photo). I didn't notice it until out in the sunlight and it is not visible when in use. Otherwise, very clean and in beautiful condition.
