The Beta SL Jacket, the lightest Beta jacket, is designed to meet the realities of the mountain environment. It's a versatile piece meticulously designed to provide complete waterproof, windproof, and breathable protection without compromising on lightness and compact packability. It uses an innovative GORE-TEX ePE membrane, a lightweight and strong PFC-free material. C-KNIT backer technology provides a stress-free fit and excellent breathability. The helmet-compatible StormHood provides protection without sacrificing visibility. It features ventilation zippers and a RECCO reflector for enhanced exploration. This product intentionally does not contain added PFAS. The new ePE membrane technology is lighter and thinner while achieving the same strength and durability as conventional materials. You may notice that the face fabric of products using the ePE membrane tends to feel slightly damp, but this does not affect the waterproof performance of the membrane itself. If you feel that the fabric is more damp than expected, washing and drying the jacket to remove oil and dirt will restore the DWR water-repellent finish.
