Batman #497 (1993) – Card Stock Overlay Variant – Knightfall – “The Breaking of the Bat”
Iconic issue from the Knightfall storyline featuring Bane breaking Batman. This is the card stock overlay variant edition, which includes the black card stock overlay wrap over the standard full-color cover. Not a later printing.
Condition:
Card stock overlay is present and intact.
Two minor spine ticks along the spine of the overlay.
One slightly larger spine tick around the middle of the overlay spine on the front cover.
One very small tick on the overlay near Batman’s leg toward the top left of the front cover.
Color cover underneath appears clean and vibrant.
Corners and edges are solid overall
A great copy of a classic 90s Batman key with light wear mainly confined to the overlay. Displays very well and is an excellent addition for Knightfall or Batman collectors.
