This vintage Allgäuer Keramik wall plate is a beautiful example of German art pottery, handcrafted in Altstädten in the 1960-1970s. Distinctive "rustic" cottage style (Bauernmalerei) that was popular in 70s interior design. The piece features a distinctive cream and teal crackle glaze finish that serves as a backdrop for a vibrant, hand-painted floral arrangement containing blue, yellow, and maroon blooms with a delicate butterfly accent. Marked "Handarbeit" (Handmade) on the reverse with original foil label and model number 10512, this plate comes ready to display with an attached hanging cord.
In excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The item features a heavy, intentional crackle/crazing glaze effect throughout. The original foil sticker is intact on the back.
