Interestingly, there is a sticker on the back of the plate from Hammersmith Farm in Newport, R.I. I'm not sure the significance, but Hammersmith Farm is the childhood home of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy and the site of her wedding reception with John F. Kennedy in 1953.
