This vintage pattern, The Old Curiosity Shop, was designed by Gordon Parker and based on Charles Dickens' 1841 novel by the same name. The rimmed soup bowl is approximately 8.5" in diameter and 1.5" deep and features an oil lamp and a pair of spectacles. The dishes were manufactured by Royal China Company in Sebring, Ohio. Interestingly, dishes were never sold as a full set, only in sets of 4, as in 4 bowls, 4 plates, etc.
