Outstanding, Bakelite, Yellow Gold, ART DECO Brooch, Attributed to German Bauhaus Movement Designer, JAKOB BENGEL.
Measuring 3/4" x 3 1/2" x 3/8" deep, this designer brooch has a secure rollover clasp.
Constructed of a solid, caramel-colored Bakelite body, wrapped with thick gold-plated wire.
Bakelite verified using Simicrome test.
Excellent Condition.
Attributed to JAKOB BENGEL**, a German locksmith turned jeweler, who was a follower of the German Bauhaus Movement, which featured functional and technical architecture techniques in everyday objects. Jacob was a highly acclaimed jeweler who produced his pieces from 1872 to the early 1930s.
