This is a vintage Monet gold-tone Mirador brooch, featuring a modernist design with a textured, knotted center and radiating "fireworks" or "starburst" elements.
Popular in the 1960’s- my grandmother loved to adorn her scarves, hats, coats, furs, and bags with her brooches. In the last picture, I styled her silk clutch with this favorite Monet brooch of hers. That clutch is sold separately.
As they say trends always repeat themselves! My grandma would be so excited because her brooch collection is so extensive! But this Monet pin is exquisite. It’s a heavier piece to reflect how well it’s made and the rope design is so detailed. Would looked so classy on anything!
