✨ Description

This elegant lidded jar is a fine example of Kutani ware from Japan’s renowned Fujita Kiln, produced for export to Western markets during the late 19th to early 20th century. The entire surface is decorated with the iconic "Hana-moyo" (百花纹) floral pattern, featuring a dense arrangement of chrysanthemums, peonies, and daisies in varying shades of celadon and forest green, all meticulously outlined and accented with lustrous gold gilding. This "hundred flowers" motif symbolizes prosperity, beauty, and the abundance of nature in Japanese culture.
