This elegant cylindrical hat stand, dating to the Chinese Republic Period (c. 1912–1949), is a fine example of late Qing to early Republic famille rose porcelain. It features the classic auspicious motif of “Qilin Sends a Son” (麒麟送子), a symbol of fertility and prosperity deeply rooted in Chinese culture. Originally designed to display official hats, it later became a cherished decorative piece in literati households.
