A show-stopping "Dark Romance" piece! This authentic Late 1940s / 1950s wedding gown has been custom dyed using Rit Dye in "Wine" for a deep, moody raspberry red color.
Used as a professional photography prop. The skirt is heavily interlined for volume and features a massive cathedral train. (Shown with a crinoline skirt in model shots – crinoline not included).
Modifications:
Corset Back: Ribbon loops added over the original metal zipper to allow for adjustable fit on models.
Fabric: Dyed from original white.
Condition: DISTRESSED / PROJECT Sold AS-IS for costume/prop use.
The fabric is splitting/shredding at underarms and collar due to age.
Contains dirt on hem from outdoor shoots and a hole in the lining.
Skirt is heavy (3 lbs) and stiff; bodice is unlined.
