1966 Jerusalem Bible Red Leather Hardcover Gold Gilded Edges 1st Edition 6.5x9.5

The first modern English Catholic Bible published by Doubleday. The beautiful red leather cover is accented with decorative 22kt gold, the interior end pages feature a moire silk and matching sating ribbon page marker. The paper used is archival quality paper that is Smyth-sewn into the binding for durability. There is no writing on any of the pages and all pages are present. There are no rips or tears, there is a small piece of the leather coming off on the outer lower corner of the book as seen in the last photo. It’s hard to believe that this book is 60 years old as it is in fabulous condition.
