Dr. Thomas F. Clark (1928–2022)
Thomas "Tom" Clark was a renowned American sculptor and professor at Davidson College. He is best known for creating highly detailed figurines, particularly gnomes and woodspirits, which gained a massive global following.
The Gnome Series: In 1978, he sculpted his first gnome, inspired by the book Gnomes by Rien Poortvliet. His creations were often modeled after real people and were mass-produced in pecan resin, which gives them a wood-like appearance.
Hand-signed figures are highly sought after. Good overall condition.
