Offered is a beautiful antique relief-molded pottery vase dating to the late 19th–early 20th century (circa 1890–1910). The vase features a highly detailed figural Jugendstil scene depicting a bonneted woman seated by water with a swan, surrounded by foliage and vines.
The body is finished in a dark charcoal/black matte glaze with hand-applied painted highlights in soft pastel tones, blue water accents, and green foliage. Twin lug handles accent each side. The interior shows natural glaze pooling and kiln characteristics consistent with period production.
