Not sure of the exact age or material composition. I don't think it is real silver, but I don't see any brass or bonze colors showing through the surface or any rust or oxidation whatsoever, so who knows? The craftsmanship of the tray and the metalwork is beautiful, and it definitely has some age to it but it's in nearly pristine condition. The glass mirror itself has some VERY minor little scuffs to it, but they are almost impossible to notice unless you're up very close. Felted bottom. No markings.
