This is a limited edition collection of materials published in 1975 by the Kyoto Chamber of Commerce and Industry, summarizing fashion and the historical background of the early 20th century (1909–1939).
It features designers who pioneered modern fashion, such as Kazuko Koike, Ikko Tanaka, Issey Miyake, Paul Poiret, the Callot Soeurs, Madeleine Vionnet, Gabrielle Chanel, and Elsa Schiaparelli, and also includes their relationships with art, literature, film, and architecture of the time.
