Green Dragon Glass Lovellite from Big Horn Glass Fire Wollastonite DG20

This is an amazing super large piece of rare Green Dragon Glass from Lovell. This unique glass features orbicular, and super rare Wollastonite inclusions. The tale goes that Lovellite is a term associated with obsidian or glass fragments found in Lovell, Wyoming, specifically linked to a fire at the Big Horn Glass Factory in 1928. The fire caused molten glass to cool and crystallize, resulting in the formation of rare wollastonite within the glass. These fragments are sometimes referred to as "Wyoming Obsidian.” The appearance of the globular Wollastonite inclusions are a mystery since it is difficult to discern how or why the Wollastonite naturally appeared in the glass fragments. Many people collect these pieces as a curio specimen or piece of history. Others own these pieces for the spiritual attributes.
