This is a 22K Gold Limited Edition Black-Eyed Susan glass from the 124th Preakness Stakes at the Pimlico Race Course, Baltimore MD.
An official Maryland Turf Caterers glass, it is #340 out of only 1,000 produced and comes with the Certificate of Authenticity.
Great, unused, clean condition; there is a spot of fading on the top line of gold (see last photo).
HISTORY: The production of Preakness gold glasses involves a unique process that includes the use of actual 22k gold. These glasses are numbered and come with an official certificate of authenticity signed by the president and CEO of Pimlico Race Course. The front of the glass features the official logo and date of the race, along with the black-eyed susan, the Maryland state flower which became the official flower of the Preakness in 1940. The back of the glass lists all the winners from 1873 to 1998. Front and back design are all in 22k gold.
